Lava Lava Beach Club is a popular restaurant / bar within walking distance of the condo. It is one of the few restaurant / bars on Kauai with an on-the-beach location. With tables on the beach, you can have food or drinks while sitting with your toes in the sand next to the ocean. They have live acoustic music each evening. We really enjoy the atmosphere and the bar has a large, open, contemporary feel. Some of the dishes were better than others. We really like the garlic shrimp and the pineapple fried rice with teriyaki steak.
Lava Lava is at the back of the Kauai Shores Hotel on Papaloa Road just before the Coconut Marketplace. Their only parking option is valet so it's best to walk there. Lava Lava is only .3 miles from the condo and is a 10 minute walk from the condo. Lava Lava is at the end of the driveway on the left side of the hotel. See the Map at the bottom of this page.
